Strategically Positioned for Growth
Mountlake Terrace is centrally located in the Puget Sound region with an economy supported by powerful companies such as Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon, and Premera Blue Cross. Working toward a revitalization of its downtown area, the city is implementing its Town Center Plan. A large plaza in its downtown core, new stores, restaurants, retail, offices and work/live developments are part of this vision. Encouraging healthy economic development, while enhancing quality of life and concern for the environment, Mountlake Terrace adopted a Sustainability Strategy, Economic Vitality Strategy, and Transit Service Strategy (PDF).
The City of Mountlake Terrace goes above basic services by expanding capital improvement and economic development programs. This makes the city well-positioned and able to accommodate redevelopment and revitalization opportunities in the community.
